Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gerbachov Putingsusu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jim Kwon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gerbachov Putingsusu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Kwon!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Bruno Hogan and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putingsusu misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Nice takedown defense from Kwon. No joy for Putingsusu on that attempt.
Putingsusu shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kwon wants to clinch

and Putingsusu counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Putingsusu.
Putingsusu is trying to push Kwon away but Kwon has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Kwon is trying to break free.

Putingsusu's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Putingsusu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Kwon is working an open guard so Putingsusu takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Kwon shoots in looking for a takedown but Putingsusu manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kwon's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Sloppy strikes from Kwon. Those never looked like landing.
Kwon fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Putingsusu manages to avoid it.
Putingsusu shoots in for a takedown but Kwon shows good takedown defense.

Putingsusu shoots in for a double leg but Kwon sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Kwon pushes Putingsusu up against the cage in a clinch.

Putingsusu keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kwon's efforts to push away.

Putingsusu manages to break the clinch.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The fighters circle momentarily. Kwon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Kwon tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Putingsusu has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Putingsusu throws a push kick but Kwon slaps the foot to one side.
Putingsusu is trying hard to land a takedown here. Kwon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kwon moves away from the strike by Putingsusu.
Kwon tries to close the distance and clinch but Putingsusu swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A right-left combo lands from Kwon.
Kwon fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kwon is looking to clinch but Putingsusu is avoiding it.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Putingsusu is defended easily by Kwon.

Kwon moves into the clinch.
Kwon is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Putingsusu keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Kwon's efforts to push away.
Kwon wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Putingsusu drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kwon pulls his leg out and moves away.
Putingsusu lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kwon circles away quickly and effectively.

Gerbachov Putingsusu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Putingsusu gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Kwon counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Putingsusu thinking.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kwon tries to close the distance and clinch up but Putingsusu swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Putingsusu misses with a kick to the body.

Kwon closes the distance and pushes Putingsusu back into the cage.
Putingsusu tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kwon just stands there and leans against the cage.
Kwon blocking some punches.
Kwon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Putingsusu prevents Kwon from breaking the clinch.
Putingsusu looking to throw knees to the head but Kwon is blocking nicely.

Kwon manages to break the clinch.
Kwon jabs at Putingsusu's body.
Kwon slips under a jab.

Kwon looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Kwon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kwon wants it to stay on the feet.

and Putingsusu counters with a nice uppercut.
Putingsusu shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kwon sprawls well. Kwon wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Putingsusu gets slowly back to his feet.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jim Kwon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Kwon is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Putingsusu rather than just go for the knockout.

Putingsusu has Kwon pressed against the cage, preventing Kwon from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Putingsusu is pushing Kwon up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

Putingsusu jumps into guard, dragging Kwon to the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Putingsusu shoots for a takedown but Kwon saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Kwon wants the takedown. Putingsusu is fighting it off but Kwon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Putingsusu's guard against the cage.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kwon wants to stand and escape but instead Putingsusu has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Gerbachov Putingsusu has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Kwon wants to get back to his feet but Putingsusu is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

And that's the end of the fight!
Jim Kwon comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Kwon has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
