Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nelly Haynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rockmeteller Todd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haynes comes to the cage accompanied by Nelly - The Champ. Nelly Haynes has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rockmeteller Todd!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Haynes shoots in for a takedown but Todd shows good takedown defense.
Haynes fails to land the takedown.
Haynes drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Todd throws a series of punches but Haynes avoids them all with ease.

Haynes gets a double leg takedown into Todd's guard.
Haynes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Todd works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Todd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Haynes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Haynes drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Todd dives on top into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Todd stays in close to Haynes's body and controls the position.
Haynes controls Todd momentarily but Todd frees himself.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Haynes holds on and takes a little breather.
Haynes is trying to control the position but Todd postures up.

We're going to have a standup here because Nelly Haynes wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

Todd stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Todd wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Nelly Haynes. That's going to take a lot out of him.
A punch lands to the side of Haynes 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

A looping hook to the body misses from Todd. Haynes does a little dance to reset his feet.
Haynes fails in his attempt to clinch.
Haynes is trying hard to land a takedown here. Todd sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Todd thows a body shot but no joy.
Todd throws the left hand but Haynes avoids the punch easily.
Haynes looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Todd misses with a straight right.
Todd throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Haynes counters with a single leg into guard. Todd didn't expect that.

Haynes postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Todd is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Haynes, into his guard.

Todd trying to control the position from guard on top but Haynes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Haynes has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Todd is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Haynes.
Todd wants to control but Haynes is keeping him busy.
Haynes is trying to control Todd's posture but Todd avoids it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rockmeteller Todd dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Haynes tries to score a power double leg takedown but Todd sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Haynes somewhat.
Todd tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Haynes was well out of range. Poor timing from Todd.
Todd throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Todd scores with the left hand. Haynes knows he should have avoided that one.
Todd lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Haynes fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Todd misses with a shot to the body

and Haynes counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Haynes is working to tighten his grip on Todd's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Todd has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Haynes is really squeezing tight and eventually Todd passes out! Haynes breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Nelly Haynes!
A relieved looking Nelly Haynes thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
