PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sergei Vyaschelov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Project Falcon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vyaschelov's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Move That Dope. Project Falcon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Falcon lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Falcon lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Falcon avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Vyaschelov just misses with a punch to the body.
Vyaschelov misses with a kick to the body.
Falcon moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Vyaschelov pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Vyaschelov tries to clinch up but Falcon circles away and keeps his distance.
Falcon throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Vyaschelov thows a body shot but no joy.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Vyaschelov crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Falcon - the referee stops the clock and Vyaschelov gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Falcon. Vyaschelov manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Vyaschelov wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Falcon has him pressed against the cage.
Falcon lands a left hand that snaps the head of Vyaschelov backwards.
Vyaschelov jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Falcon walks away with a smile on his face. Vyaschelov gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Vyaschelov takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Vyaschelov has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Falcon.

Vyaschelov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Vyaschelov will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Falcon lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
That kick from Falcon tenderised Vyaschelov's leg. Vyaschelov is trying to keep his angry face on.

Vyaschelov goes for a double leg but Falcon avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Falcon continues to drive forward.
Falcon makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Falcon lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Vyaschelov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Falcon smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sergei Vyaschelov. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Vyaschelov has closed the distance and engaged Falcon in a clinch.
Falcon lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Vyaschelov is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Falcon to keep the fight standing.

Falcon feints and then cracks Vyaschelov's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Vyaschelov down.

Falcon throws a head kick that half lands.
Falcon uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Vyaschelov.

Ouch! a nice leg kick from Falcon, right into the meat.
Vyaschelov is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.
Falcon lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Falcon fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Vyaschelov.

Falcon lands with a hook. Vyaschelov tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Vyaschelov tries to clinch there but Falcon circles away.
Falcon fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Falcon throws a leg kick which misses Vyaschelov's front leg but catches the back leg as Vyaschelov tries to avoid it.
Falcon fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vyaschelov has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

The fight stays on the outside here - Vyaschelov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Both fighters circling a little - Falcon finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.
Vyaschelov seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Falcon shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Vyaschelov is backing up but Falcon catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Vyaschelov covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Falcon Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
