PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Momoshiro Kitsune (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ingemar Anders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kitsune comes into the arena with 僕はミス・テイク~ blaring out of the sound system. Anders has chosen Gods Son as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ingemar Anders was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 1, fighting out of London, Momoshiro Kitsune!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of London, Ingemar Anders!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Sam Margolis and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kitsune shoots in for a takedown but Anders shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Anders throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Kitsune fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

Kitsune throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Anders tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Kitsune is in Anders's guard.
Kitsune tries to free his leg and advance position but Anders is retaining full guard.
Kitsune is fighting to break Anders's control of his arms but Anders is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Anders is looking to stand up but Kitsune isn't so interested in that idea.

Anders has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Kitsune is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Kitsune is working for takedown but Anders is calmly controlling the position for now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Momoshiro Kitsune. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Anders manages to break the clinch.
Kitsune avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
No joy there for Kitsune, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kitsune walks into a straight right hand from Anders.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kitsune fails with a takedown attempt.
Nice body kick there by Anders.

Kitsune shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Anders is not content to let Kitsune control the position.
Anders wants to get back to his feet.
Kitsune trying to control the action but Anders is working from the bottom.
Kitsune content to control rather than advance.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kitsune throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Anders has hold of Kitsune's hands but Kitsune slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Kitsune works his way into side control.
Kitsune wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anders keeps working.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kitsune sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Anders is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Kitsune goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Anders rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Kitsune's guard! Nice work there by Anders!
Anders pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kitsune is keeping the position for now.
Kitsune wants to sweep here but Anders controlling him for the moment.
Kitsune punching from the bottom - just letting Anders know he's still in a fight.
Kitsune throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kitsune is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Anders has his hands clasped together but Kitsune extends and breaks Anders's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Kitsune.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Momoshiro Kitsune!
An out of breath Momoshiro Kitsune thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
