Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Maurice Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hugh Janus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maurice Smith had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 146.1lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Janus unloads a knee to the mid-section. Smith lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.
Janus jerks Smith's head down, straight into the path of a devastating knee! Smith drops to the floor in a crumpled heap! Janus goes to throw a finishing haymaker but pulls out - good sportsmanship from Janus because Smith was completely out of it. That was a nice finish - just the right level of brutality to send everyone home happy.

Hugh Janus decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
