Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dwain Mcmillan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rack Roodey!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcmillan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
A combination from Mcmillan does no damage.
Mcmillan on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Mcmillan throws a series of strikes that have Roodey backpedaling.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Roodey.
Mcmillan looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Mcmillan looks to land a combination but Roodey avoids it well.
Mcmillan really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

and Roodey finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

and Roodey holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Roodey has Mcmillan pressed against the cage, preventing Mcmillan from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Roodey prevents a body shot from Mcmillan.
Mcmillan has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Roodey avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Roodey goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mcmillan prevents it.
Roodey drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Mcmillan gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Dwain Mcmillan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rack Roodey.
Roodey wants a takedown but no success here.
Mcmillan throws a knee to the head but misses.

Roodey decides to pull guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Roodey doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.
Roodey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mcmillan's guard.
Roodey has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roodey not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Mcmillan had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Roodey defends it easily.

Roodey is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Roodey's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Mcmillan wants to get back to his feet but Roodey passes into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mcmillan wants to get back to full guard.

Roodey controlling the pace.
Roodey moves into full mount! Mcmillan won't be happy about that!
Roodey tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Mcmillan is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Mcmillan tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mcmillan has given up his back, trying to stand up. Not clever.
Roodey is riding his opponent, not letting Mcmillan buck him off.

Mcmillan is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Roodey gets his way!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Roodey somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Mcmillan tries to escape but Roodey has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
Mcmillan is working hard here to advance position.
Roodey is looking to control Mcmillan but Mcmillan is wriggling around and keeping busy.
Mcmillan has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Roodey tries to keep control of the position but Mcmillan is staying busy.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Roodey is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Mcmillan knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Mcmillan for a finish.
Mcmillan tries to escape but Roodey has the hooks in and won't let him break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rack Roodey dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Mcmillan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mcmillan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Roodey was well out of range. Poor timing from Mcmillan.
Mcmillan keeps the fight on the outside.
Roodey shoots in and drives through. Mcmillan sprawls well.
Roodey shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mcmillan but Mcmillan pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Roodey moves into the clinch successfully.

Roodey drops Mcmillan with a big knee straight up the middle! Mcmillan is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!


Mcmillan is rocked!


It looks like Dwain Mcmillan has been cut.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Mcmillan throws a lazy uppercut
and Roodey counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Mcmillan badly! Roodey follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Mcmillan out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Roodey finished him against the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Rack Roodey!
