Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brandon Finch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Valo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Brandon Finch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pete Valo!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Valo scores with a sloppy right hand. Finch should have avoided that one.

Finch gets caught flat footed, as Valo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Finch could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Valo trying to control the position from guard on top but Finch is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Finch working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Valo.
Valo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Valo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Valo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Finch is looking to sweep but instead, Valo has passed into half guard.
Valo takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Valo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Valo is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Valo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Finch defends it well.

Valo is looking to take a break and control but Finch is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Valo is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Finch still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Finch has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Valo is trying to reverse the position but instead Finch has taken his back - oops!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Valo breaks Finch's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Valo passes easily into side control. Nice work.
Finch is working to avoid the ground and pound but Valo connects with a decent elbow.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Valo in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Finch takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Valo goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Finch rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Valo's guard! Nice work there by Finch!
Valo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Finch is one step ahead there.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Finch postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pete Valo dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Valo scores with a big shot from side control... and another... and another! Oh Finch is done here - save him referee! More strikes land and eventually the ref does step in and Valo can finally stop beating on his defenseless opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Pete Valo!
After winning the bout, Pete Valo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
