Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daryl Smudge (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Jurica (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jurica has chosen Immortals - Main Theme as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smudge ducks under a wild hook from Jurica.
Jurica shoots in for a takedown but Smudge shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Smudge connects with a good right hand that stumbles Jurica. Jurica circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Smudge wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Smudge is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jurica.

and Jurica decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Smudge's guard.

Jurica stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Smudge swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Smudge will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jurica accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Smudge is pulling down on Jurica's head. It's preventing any offense from Jurica, at least for the moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Smudge escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jurica gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Jurica drops back looking for a leg! Smudge is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Smudge manages to kick Jurica off! Jurica jumps back into Smudge's guard.

Jurica tries to free his leg and advance position but Smudge is retaining full guard.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Smudge decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Jurica is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Smudge pulls his head out easily.

Smudge is taking a breather. Jurica says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Smudge is nestled in close to Jurica, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Mirko Jurica's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Mirko Jurica's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
