The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Trollkiller moves away from the strike by Joe.
Trollkiller will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Joe swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Trollkiller lands a jab to the head.
A chopping leg kick lands by Trollkiller.
Joe staying out of range there.
Trollkiller ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Joe moves away.
Trollkiller avoids the body shot from Joe.
Joe closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Trollkiller with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Joe tries to land a leg kick but Trollkiller saw it coming and moves away.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
A telegraphed right hand from Trollkiller misses the target.
Trollkiller pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Joe tries to score with a low kick but Trollkiller moves his leg out of the way.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Joe has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

and Joe counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Trollkiller tries to roll over but Joe keeps him under control.
Joe thows a huge punch but Trollkiller dodges it nicely.

Trollkiller tries to get to full guard but Joe has control of the leg.

Joe lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Joe is keen to just control but Trollkiller is a slippery customer.
Joe thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Trollkiller's head.

Joe content to control rather than advance.
Joe has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Joe raining down shots from the mount!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Joe punching from mount but Trollkiller doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Trollkiller is looking to get to half guard.
Joe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Trollkiller tries to hold on but Joe pushes him away.

Joe lands a big elbow.
Oh Trollkiller is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Joe lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Joe postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Trollkiller badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Joe around the waist but Joe pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Joe is the winner by TKO! Joe jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
