The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
MacArthur fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wardrop manages to avoid it.
MacArthur lands with an overhand left.
Wardrop drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
MacArthur swats away the attempt to clinch by Wardrop.
Wardrop dives in for a single leg takedown but MacArthur sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
MacArthur lands a left hand that snaps the head of Wardrop backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Wardrop is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Wardrop is trying to drag MacArthur to the mat but MacArthur just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
