Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jake Noob (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nebojsa Zupan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Noob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nebojsa Zupan!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Columbo Gatti and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zupan misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Noob connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Zupan misses with a left hand
and Noob counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Nebojsa Zupan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Zupan closes the distance and pushes Noob back into the cage.
Zupan is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Zupan misses with a punch on the inside.
Zupan scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Noob wants a takedown but no success here.
Noob jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zupan walks away with a smile on his face. Noob gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Zupan takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Noob throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Zupan.
Zupan misses with a hook.
A looping hook to the body misses from Zupan. Noob does a little dance to reset his feet.
Noob on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.


It looks like Jake Noob has been cut.
Noob really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A combination from Zupan does no damage.
Noob lands a jab to the head.
Zupan throws a shot from downtown. Noob moves away and avoids it.
Zupan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zupan throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Noob on the side of the head.
Zupan scores with a hook to the body. Noob takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Zupan staying out of range there.
Zupan tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Noob paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Zupan misses with a jab, cross combination.

Zupan clinches up with Noob and pushes him back against the cage.

Noob lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Zupan is trying to control but can't.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Noob walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Zupan is looking to clinch.
Zupan looks to throw the jab but Noob is out of range.

Zupan misses the shot to the body.
Zupan tries to clinch up but Noob circles away and keeps his distance.
Nebojsa Zupan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Noob goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Zupan uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Zupan lands a really nice looking cross but Noob seems unphased.
Noob lands a slapping body shot.
Noob defending well as Zupan loads up on a big left hand.
Zupan's jab looks to have found its range, popping Noob under the eye.
Noob uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Zupan.

and Noob counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Zupan has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jake Noob has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Zupan looks to land a right hand but Noob moved out of range.
Noob keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zupan misses with a wild body shot.
Noob uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Zupan.
Noob on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Noob shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Zupan sprawls well. Zupan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Noob gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jake Noob. That's going to take a lot out of him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Zupan told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Zupan lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Noob shoots in for a takedown but Zupan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Zupan throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Zupan tries to sprawl but Noob drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Zupan works his way to full guard. Good work.
Zupan throws a nice elbow from the bottom.
Zupan pulls Noob in to control the position.
Noob trying to control the position from guard on top but Zupan is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jake Noob just wasn't active enough.
Zupan lands with an uppercut that bounces Noob off the cage and back into range.
Noob keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Zupan.
Zupan scores with a jab to the body.
Zupan misses with an uppercut
and Noob counters with a stiff right hand.
A big left from Zupan misses.
Zupan lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Zupan rushes Noob and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Zupan lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Noob backwards.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Zupan takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Zupan scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Zupan misses with a wild body shot.
Zupan moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Zupan throws a combination that misses
and Noob counters with a straight right hand.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Noob takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Zupan looks to throw the jab but Noob is out of range.
Zupan throws a body punch but Noob moves out of range.
Zupan will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Zupan lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Zupan is breathing heavily.

Noob gets the takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Zupan's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Zupan is looking to regain half guard here but Noob keeps moving and retains side control.
Zupan can't do much from the bottom here.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nebojsa Zupan.

and Noob counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Zupan is trying to control but can't.

Zupan has one foot on Noob's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
Nebojsa Zupan seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Zupan fails in his attempt to clinch.
Zupan misses with an uppercut. Noob saw that one coming.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Zupan throws a looping overhand right but Noob ducks down to avoid it.

Noob shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Noob was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Nebojsa Zupan showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

and Noob counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Noob.
Zupan is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Zupan tries to clinch there but Noob circles away.
Zupan throws an off balance right hand
and Noob counters with a right hand to the body.

Noob shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Zupan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Zupan is trying to control Noob's posture but Noob avoids it.
Zupan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Noob's best efforts.

Zupan tries to kick Noob off but Noob keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Noob tries to pass the half guard into mount. Zupan knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

and Noob counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Zupan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Noob on the side of the head.
Noob displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Zupan throws out the jab.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Noob.
Zupan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Zupan is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Noob gets a double leg takedown into Zupan's guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Zupan has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Noob is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Zupan is pushing Noob up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Zupan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Noob's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Noob tries to pull guard but Zupan holds him up against the cage and eventually Noob drops back down to his feet.
Zupan throws a head punch that misses.

Zupan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Zupan missing with a left hand there. Noob was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Zupan misses with a wild body shot.
Noob slips a jab from Zupan.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Noob has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Zupan finds it's way round the side to connect with Noob's head.
Noob thows a body shot but no joy.
Zupan lands a nice shot to the body.

Noob shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Noob showed some decent athleticism there.
Zupan is trying to control but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Nebojsa Zupan.
I've got Zupan winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

A very excited looking Nebojsa Zupan made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Jake Noob was interviewed post fight and said 'sorry to fans but i am so pretty at least you got too look at me !'.
