Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dorian Ellis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Steve Bradley!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, Trevor Gratis and Gregory Folan.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ellis is looking to clinch but Bradley is avoiding it.

Bradley throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Ellis was covering up waiting for the punch and Bradley finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Bradley lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Bradley has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Ellis looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Bradley has gone for a leg lock! Ellis slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bradley's guard.

Bradley decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bradley is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Ellis defends it well.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ellis manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bradley manages to get himself to full guard.

Ellis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Bradley manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Bradley counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ellis throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.

Bradley drops back looking for a leg! Ellis is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Ellis manages to kick Bradley off! Bradley jumps back into Ellis's guard.

Bradley is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Ellis is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Ellis has escaped and now he's on top!
Ellis wants to control from the top but Bradley keeps moving.

Steve Bradley showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Bradley is looking to clinch but Ellis is avoiding it.

Ellis gets caught napping as Bradley dives in and scores a takedown. Ellis manages to retain guard.
Bradley is in close to Ellis's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Ellis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bradley gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Ellis won't allow Bradley to sweep him here.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Ellis is working Bradley over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
