Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lou Ferrigno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Onizuka Stresemann (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stresemann is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Takashi Sorimachi - Poison . The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 17 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lou Ferrigno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Onizuka Stresemann!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ferrigno fails with a takedown attempt.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Stresemann has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Horrible takedown by Ferrigno or perhaps it was just good defense by Stresemann which made him look bad.
Stresemann defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Ferrigno.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lou Ferrigno. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ferrigno changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Stresemann looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Stresemann is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ferrigno is defending well though. Stresemann let's go of the attempt for now.
I really don't envy Ferrigno right now.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

A close round but Onizuka Stresemann will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Stresemann throws a big shot that misses.
Ferrigno fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Ferrigno closes this distance looking for a takedown but Stresemann circles away.
Ferrigno takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Ferrigno fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stresemann manages to avoid it.
Stresemann looks to land a combination but Ferrigno avoids it well.

Ferrigno shoots in looking for a takedown. Stresemann tries to sprawl out of it but Ferrigno keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Stresemann manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Ferrigno throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stresemann's waist but Stresemann gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Ferrigno off to one side.

No joy there for Ferrigno, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Onizuka Stresemann comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Stresemann has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
