Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean Stone (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ole Solseng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Solseng is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Iron Horse - Hero of the Day. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Stone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Ole Solseng!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Stone shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Stone loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Stone wants to pass the guard but Solseng is keeping the position.
Stone throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Solseng keeping moving, preventing Stone from controlling successfully.
Stone stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Solseng swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Stone has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Stone trying to control the position from guard on top but Solseng is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Solseng controls Stone momentarily but Stone frees himself.
Solseng avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Stone missing with a left hand there. Solseng was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Stone ducks under a wild hook from Solseng.

Stone wants to slow Solseng down by chopping away at his legs.
Solseng takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Solseng tries to score with a low kick but Stone moves his leg out of the way.
Stone looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Solseng throws a sloppy head kick and Stone moves out of range easily.
Solseng stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stone.
A low kick from Solseng is predictable there
and Stone counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Stone uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Solseng.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Stone checks a leg kick.
Solseng throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stone takes a head kick and keeps coming.


It looks like Sean Stone has been cut.
Stone pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Stone has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Stone looks for a takedown but Solseng sprawls well.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Solseng misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ole Solseng seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Stone lands with a nice combination. Solseng backs away looking to recover.


It looks like Ole Solseng has been cut.
Stone connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Solseng misses with a body shot.
Stone fails with a takedown attempt.
Solseng lands a leg kick that knocks Stone off balance momentarily.
Stone checks a leg kick.
Solseng goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Stone misses with a head kick.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Solseng misses with a leg kick.
Stone takes a swing at Solseng's ribcage but misses.
Solseng buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Solseng throws a head kick but Stone moves out of range.
A slapping leg kick lands for Solseng.
Solseng throws a leg kick that misses.
Solseng swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Solseng displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Stone.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Stone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Stone misses with a body kick.
Stone cracks the inside of Solseng's front leg.
Solseng lands with an overhand left.
Stone finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Solseng checks a leg kick nicely.
Stone fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stone with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Solseng attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Solseng throws a sloppy head kick and Stone moves out of range easily.
Stone takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Solseng leaves Stone with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Solseng fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Stone checks it well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Solseng throws a sloppy head kick
and Stone counters with a nice body kick.
Stone tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Sean Stone will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Solseng connects with the punch.
Solseng checks the leg kick.
Stone throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Solseng counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Stone blocks the body kick.
Stone blocks a leg kick.
Stone throws a head kick that misses.
Stone looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Donk. Stone catches Solseng right on the button with a cross.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Stone is defended easily by Solseng.
Solseng connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Stone's hands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Solseng throws a hook but Stone blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stone fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Solseng throws a half hearted mid kick.
Solseng chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Stone can pounce on him.
Solseng moves out of range of the body kick.
Stone throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Solseng on the side of the head.
Solseng tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
A low kick from Solseng is predictable there
and Stone counters with a slapping leg kick.
Stone tries to land a leg kick but Solseng saw it coming and moves away.

Stone shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Solseng manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Solseng working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Stone.
Stone looking to sit in guard and control but Solseng gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Solseng controlling from the top position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Solseng is looking to pass into half guard but Stone pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Stone is in guard.
Solseng lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
Stone keeping moving, preventing Solseng from controlling successfully.

Stone is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Solseng is aware though and is defending well.

Solseng is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Stone has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Solseng is looking to defend but Stone has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Solseng! Stone pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Solseng taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:59 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sean Stone!
Sean Stone really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that VICIOUS logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
