Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mookie Blaylock (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Tippin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Blaylock might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Alive. Pete Tippin has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Pete Tippin!
The judges for this bout are Ben Hemmingworth, Francis DeMontford and Skip Squint.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tippin lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

It looks like Mookie Blaylock has been cut.
Blaylock catches Tippin with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Blaylock clinches up against the cage.
Blaylock misses with a hook to the ribs.
Blaylock lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Tippin backwards.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Tippin has Blaylock pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Blaylock manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Blaylock tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Tippin avoids it.
Tippin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Tippin works for underhooks and lands a body shot in the process.
A left hand lands to the body for Blaylock.

Tippin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Blaylock pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Tippin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Tippin drops his hands momentarily and Blaylock takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
A punch lands to the side of Blaylock 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Blaylock is looking to clinch.
Tippin closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Tippin throws a leg kick but Blaylock sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Tippin throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A looping hook to the body misses from Tippin. Blaylock does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tippin takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Blaylock throws the left hand but Tippin avoids the punch easily.

Tippin swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Blaylock pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tippin throws a series of punches but Blaylock avoids them all with ease.
Tippin throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Blaylock looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Blaylock throws a lazy right hand but Tippin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Blaylock looks to throw the jab but Tippin is out of range.

Blaylock misses with an uppercut.
Tippin pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Blaylock throws a nice outside leg kick.
Tippin darts in looking for a takedown but Blaylock gets double underhooks and turns Tippin into the cage.
Tippin drops down looking for an ankle pick but Blaylock pulls his leg out and moves away.
Mookie Blaylock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Tippin.

Tippin drops Blaylock with a right and a left! Tippin comes rushing in but Blaylock regains his composure and manages to keep Tippin in guard.
Blaylock pulls Tippin in close to prevent any damage.
Tippin told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Blaylock bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Tippin's guard.
Tippin will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Tippin can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Blaylock controls the pace.

Tippin has his foot on Blaylock's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Blaylock works his way back into a safe position though.

Tippin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blaylock can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Tippin wants to stand but Blaylock is controlling the position.

Blaylock postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Blaylock dips to his left and cracks Tippin with an uppercut!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blaylock lands a nice looking body kick.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Blaylock lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Blaylock swings and misses with a hook to the body.
A lazy left from Blaylock finds it's target.
Tippin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Blaylock is fending him off so far but Tippin persists. Nope, Blaylock circles away and we're back to standing.
Tippin walks into a jab.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mookie Blaylock will probably get the nod.

Tippin doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Blaylock scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Tippin doesn't seem bothered though.
Blaylock lands a leg kick that knocks Tippin off balance momentarily.

Blaylock fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tippin looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
