PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pi Noy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viper Prince (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Prince has chosen Don Trip-Feelin like mike as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Pi Noy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Viper Prince!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noy dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Noy tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Prince counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Noy's guard now.
Prince has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Noy is proving hard to escape from.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Prince decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Noy lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Noy.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Noy moves to clinch but Prince breaks away

and Prince decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Noy's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Prince decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Noy, up you get!
Noy uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

and Prince counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Prince is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The fight stays on the outside here - Noy looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Prince counters with a nice double leg into side control. Noy won't be happy with that.

Viper Prince showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
