Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Warren Obrien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nymann Junior (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Warren Obrien has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Warren Obrien!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Nymann Junior!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Junior throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Obrien cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Junior scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Obrien tries to buck Junior off but Junior is having none of it.
Junior has knee on belly momentarily but Obrien bucks him off and regains half guard.
Junior is looking to stall here but Obrien recovers full guard.
Obrien is looking to stand up but Junior isn't so interested in that idea.

That's one minute gone in the round.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Obrien is on top in guard.
Obrien would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Junior goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Obrien rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Junior's guard! Nice work there by Obrien!
Obrien would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Junior wants to get back to his feet but Obrien is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Obrien gets to his feet - Junior follows without any prompting.

Junior looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Junior stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Obrien swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Junior is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Junior prevents Obrien from getting back to his feet.
Obrien will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Obrien is breathing heavily.

Junior throws a big elbow that misses.

Junior decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Obrien, up you get!

Junior feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Junior really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Obrien. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Obrien throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Obrien wants to stand and escape but Junior is having none of it.

Junior creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Obrien sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Nymann Junior was stalling too much, according to the referee.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Obrien.
Warren Obrien is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Junior dives in and scores a takedown into Obrien's guard.

Nymann Junior has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Obrien tries to keep at a distance but Junior has taken the fight into the clinch.
Junior prevents a takedown attempt there.
Obrien tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Junior smiles and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Warren Obrien. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Obrien gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Junior to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Junior must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Nymann Junior showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Obrien's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.



Junior has taken the fight to the clinch.
Obrien fails to pull guard.
Junior wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Junior throws a head kick that misses
and Obrien counters with a straight right hand.
Obrien is looking to clinch but Junior is avoiding it.
Junior shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Obrien but Obrien pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Junior will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Warren Obrien has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nymann Junior.

Junior wants to sweep here but Obrien controlling him for the moment.
Junior takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Obrien trying to stand up but can't free himself from Junior's guard.

Junior has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Obrien can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Obrien wanted to stand there but Junior had control of the position.
Junior wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Obrien works over Junior with some ground and pound from guard.
Junior is trying to keep Obrien in close.
Junior has a closed guard, preventing Obrien from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Junior has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Obrien has passed into side control.
Junior is trying to get back to half guard.
Junior is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Obrien has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Obrien decides to stand back up.

Junior closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Junior is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Obrien tries to kick Junior off but Junior keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Junior works his foot free and advances to mount.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Junior can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Obrien is looking to escape.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

And that's the end of the fight!
Nymann Junior comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Junior has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
