PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joe Gage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Cain Velasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Velasquez's choice of entrance music: Kryptonite. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velasquez fails with a takedown attempt.
Gage throws a front kick that sends Velasquez stumbling back into the cage.
Gage tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gage dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Velasquez. That did some damage!
Velasquez throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Gage misses with a kick to the body

and Velasquez counters with a shoot takedown. Gage fights it but they end up in guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Velasquez drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Velasquez seems to have locked his on tight now - Gage screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Velasquez, as he picks up the win!

Cain Velasquez seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
Joe Gage spoke after the fight, saying 'EI JUMALAUTA MITÄ PASKAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'.
