The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blomsten shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hopster sprawls well. Hopster wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Blomsten gets slowly back to his feet.
Blomsten gets the takedown into side control.
Hopster is trying to improve his position.
Blomsten tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Blomsten thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Blomsten tries for a kimura but Hopster is defending well.
Blomsten wants to control but Hopster is keeping him busy.
Blomsten is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Hopster has escaped the position, nice work there.

Blomsten is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hopster is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Blomsten is working to tighten his grip on Hopster's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Hopster has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Blomsten is really squeezing tight and eventually Hopster passes out! Blomsten breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
