PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Adolphson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keiji Mutou (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Adolphson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Keiji Mutou!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mutou gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Adolphson counters with a nice low kick that buckles Mutou's knee momentarily.
Mutou swats away the attempt to clinch by Adolphson.
Adolphson moves in looking to clinch but Mutou pushes him off.
Adolphson throws a leg kick but Mutou checks it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Mutou has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Adolphson looks to land a right hand but Mutou moved out of range.

A big strike lands for Mutou! That's really hurt Adolphson and he's turned his back - Mutou keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Mutou jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
