Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Connor Freeman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Hecker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Hecker's choice of entrance music: The Ultimate Warrior. This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Freeman decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hecker's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Freeman is pushing down on Hecker's leg trying to pass to half guard. Hecker is fighting to maintain full guard but Freeman has managed to sneak the leg through.
Freeman takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Hecker is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Freeman seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hecker does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
