Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mike James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrell Reed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes to the cage accompanied by ``Allouttangst``-NOFX. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Mike James!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Terrell Reed!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Alec Ball and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James ducks straight into an uppercut from Reed and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - James maanges to regain guard straight away.


James is rocked!


It looks like Mike James has been cut.

James working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Reed doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Reed manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Oh James is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Reed pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. James is keeping the position for now.
James seems to have got his legs back now.
Reed distracts James with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Reed wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position.
Reed trying to control but James is working from the bottom.
James trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
James keeping moving, preventing Reed from controlling successfully.
Reed wants to pass the guard but James is keeping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
James steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Reed.

Reed stuffs the takedown.
Reed misses with a jab, cross combination.
James takes a swing at Reed's ribcage but misses.
Reed tries to clinch but James is having none of it.
Reed doesn't manage to clinch there - James circles away.
Good leg kick by Reed there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

James shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Reed looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
James slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

James looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
James fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Reed tries to bench press James off him but James keeps the position.
James tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
James misses with a head kick.
James is breathing heavily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reed looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Reed looks to land a body kick but James moved away.
A combination from Reed does no damage.
James tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Reed swivels and escapes.
James fails in his attempt to clinch.
Reed throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
James keeps the fight on the outside.
A punch lands to the side of James 's head but he takes it in his stride.

James closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Reed to the mat! Reed manages to get full guard.
James postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Reed is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Reed wants to stand up but James is controlling the position.
James is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

James looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
James has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Reed is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so James is just riding it out for now. Reed eventually gives up the hold.
James tries to get to full guard but Reed has control of the leg.
Reed looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

James looking for submissions off his back.
James has a hand on Reed's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Reed takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Reed controlling the pace for now.

Reed looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
James takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Reed wants to control the pace but James is squirming around nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Terrell Reed dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Mike James's cut.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



James rushes Reed and presses him up against the cage.
James looking to stall.

Reed gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
James is pressing down on Reed's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Reed trying to control the position from guard on top but James is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
James tries to land a sweep but no joy.

James is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Reed wants to control from the top but James keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Reed might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control James kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

James fails to land the takedown.
James is looking to clinch but Reed is avoiding it.
James moves out of range of the strikes.
Reed throws a big shot that misses.
Nice defenses there by James.

Reed gets caught flat footed, as James shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Reed is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Reed avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
James loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as James accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
James content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Reed had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. James is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Reed Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take James's back instead.
James is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Reed doesn't have the hooks in and James manages to turn into his guard.

James avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Reed trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Reed has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think James should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Reed has tightened it up now! James should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
