PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cole Healey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alex Quarry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Healey comes to the cage accompanied by slutter. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quarry misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Healey.

Healey bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Quarry taking punishment in the form of punches.
Quarry is trying to control Healey's posture but Healey avoids it.
Quarry is looking to reverse the position.
Quarry wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land.
The ground and pound from Healey seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Quarry is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Healey's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Quarry manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Healey manages to get himself to full guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Quarry is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Healey to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Healey shrugs it off.

Healey sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Quarry is trying to control the action in half guard but Healey is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Quarry works his foot free and advances to mount.

Quarry is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Healey is surviving well by controlling Quarry's body position as best he can.

Healey really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Quarry takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Healey flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Alex Quarry will probably get the nod.
That's time! Healey's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Healey manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Quarry on his heels. He'll look to pass Quarry's guard now, I'm sure.

Quarry is looking to cinch up a triangle. Healey throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Quarry's body to avoid the submission. Quarry has instead reached around Healey's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Quarry arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
