Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alden Ho!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Winston Churchill!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Churchill misses with a series of wild punches.
Churchill throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ho.
Churchill tries to close the distance and clinch but Ho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Churchill will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ho fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Churchill avoids it really well and circles away.
Ho shoots in for a takedown but Churchill shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Ho takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Churchill moves in looking to clinch but Ho pushes him off.

Churchill misses with a few strikes there.
Churchill lands a jab.
Ho takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Churchill thuds a left hand into Ho's body.
Churchill misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Churchill is looking to clinch but Ho is avoiding it.
Churchill throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Churchill lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Winston Churchill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ho on the wrong end of a nice hook.


Ho is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Churchill throws a right hand that Ho ducks under and follows up with a left that Ho also avoids with ease.

Churchill closes the distance and clinches.
Ho pushes off an throws an elbow but Churchill leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Churchill tries to circle away but Ho has him pinned against the cage.

Churchill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Churchill leaves Ho with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alden Ho. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Churchill moves into the clinch.
Churchill trying to control the position but instead, Ho has worked for underhooks and has pushed Churchill into the cage.

Churchill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Danga de danga de dang - Churchill scores with a four punch combination!

Churchill has managed to clinch.

Ho tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Churchill avoids it.
Churchill gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ho.
Churchill blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ho prevents Churchill from breaking the clinch.

Ho manages to break the clinch.
Winston Churchill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A left lands for Churchill.
Ho takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Ho goes for a double leg but Churchill avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Churchill continues to drive forward.
Churchill has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Churchill is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Churchill holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Ho keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Churchill's efforts to push away.
Churchill looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Churchill breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
A decent looking cross lands there for Churchill.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ho takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Oh Ho is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Churchill cracks Ho with a big right hand that sees him stumbling back against the cage! Ho falls to his knees and Churchill doesn't need a second invitatation - he rushes in and fires off several unanswered shots that force the referee to stop the fight! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Winston Churchill!
A determined Winston Churchill didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
