Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giordano Bruno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bariga Cocainich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cocainich tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Bruno defends well and Cocainich ends up having to push Bruno into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Bruno gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cocainich.
Cocainich drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Giordano Bruno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bariga Cocainich.
Bruno lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Bruno pushes Cocainich back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Bruno pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

I was talking to Bruno's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A nice left hand lands by Bruno.

Cocainich wants the takedown. Bruno is fighting it off but Cocainich persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Bruno's guard against the cage.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Bruno bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cocainich's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Bruno tries to free his leg and advance position but Cocainich is retaining full guard.

Bruno is trying to control the action in half guard but Cocainich is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Bruno is really struggling to control Cocainich but he's trying to hold on to the position.
Cocainich moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Cocainich manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Bruno is looking to improve his position but Cocainich isn't that keen on the idea.

Bruno defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Cocainich.
Bruno is bucking up trying to escape but Cocainich cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Cocainich is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Bruno can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Cocainich tries to control but Bruno wriggling away.
Cocainich is landing with some decent strikes but Bruno is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
Bruno sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Bruno makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bruno.

Bruno escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Cocainich gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Bruno has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cocainich can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Cocainich passes into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bruno is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cocainich off and has taken his back!

Bruno has the hooks in and he's looking for a rear naked choke here. Cocainich is defending well but eventually Bruno manages to get an arm under the chin and he's locked on the RNC! Cocainich has no choice but to tap now! He does! This one is all over!
