Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Choco Bang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Keenan Hudson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Keenan Hudson!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Eliza Hachem.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hudson clinches up with Bang and pushes him back against the cage.
Bang is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hudson pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Hudson breaks the clinch.

Bang shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Hudson working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Bang has passed into half guard!
Hudson is trying to control but can't.
Hudson wants to get back to full guard but Bang has mounted him!

Hudson felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bang is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Hudson shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hudson was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Hudson goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Bang rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Hudson's guard! Nice work there by Bang!
Hudson is striking but Bang is not phased and passes to half guard.

Hudson is trying to maintain the position but Bang is very close to passing his half guard.

Let's hope that Hudson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Bang wants to control but Hudson is keeping him busy.

Hudson is looking for a sweep. Bang is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Choco Bang wasn't doing enough on the ground.

Hudson drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Hudson looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bang wants to get back to his feet but Hudson drags him back down.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.
Bang is not content to let Hudson control the position.

Bang is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hudson off and has taken his back!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Bang is cranking Hudson's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Hudson! He's tightened the choke and Hudson is tapping out!
