Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alligator Dundee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jex Shepard!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ron Honeybunn and Ben Hemmingworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A swing and a miss from Shepard.
Dundee takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Shepard lands a right hook to the body.
Dundee takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Dundee tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Shepard defends well and Dundee ends up having to push Shepard into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Dundee has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Shepard after a bit of a struggle.
Dundee tries to score a body lock takedown but Shepard shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alligator Dundee. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Dundee has Shepard pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Dundee pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Shepard tumbling to the mat - Dundee dives into Shepard's guard.

Shepard lands a nice hook to Dundee's body. Dundee takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

We've been hearing that Dundee has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Shepard pushes Dundee off looking to stand but Dundee dives back in and keeps control.
Shepard should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alligator Dundee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Dundee feints and as Shepard raises his hands in defense, Dundee changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Dundee is in close to Shepard's body, working some short punches and elbows.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Shepard can do anything to dispel that myth.

Dundee makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Shepard takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Dundee seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Shepard for as long as he can get away with.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Shepard rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dundee moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Shepard enables Dundee to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Shepard manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Dundee gets to his feet and stands over Shepard, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Shepard felt that one! Dundee unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Shepard from any more punishment!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Alligator Dundee!
