Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sherwood Walsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, KJ Noons!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Noons closes the distance and clinches.

Noons breaks from the clinch.

Noons gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Noons pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A slapping body kick lands there for Noons.
Noons tries to score a power double leg takedown but Walsh sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Noons somewhat.
Noons will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Walsh clinches up with Noons and pushes him back against the cage.
Noons digs a right hand into Walsh's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Walsh's gas tank.

Noons decides to pull guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Noons pulls Walsh in close to his closed guard and prevents Walsh from doing any damage or advancing position.
Noons wants to get back to his feet but Walsh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Noons is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Noons escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Walsh gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Noons bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Walsh's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Walsh is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Noons looking to pass the guard.
Noons stands and throws Walsh's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Noons slows the pace down.
Noons working away.
Walsh tries to bench press Noons off him but Noons keeps the position.
Walsh is working hard here to advance position.
Noons avoids the strikes from the bottom by Walsh.
Walsh tries to buck Noons off but Noons is having none of it.
Noons in side control, throwing shots but Walsh defends.
Walsh is not content to let Noons control the position.

Walsh sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Walsh works his way to full guard. Good work.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Noons missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Walsh manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Walsh has hold of Noons's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Noons manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Noons is trying to stand but he's just given Walsh his back.
Noons can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Walsh is looking to control Noons but Noons is wriggling around and keeping busy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Walsh counters with a thumping low kick.

Noons moves into the clinch.
Noons lands a shot to the body.

Noons drags the fight down to the ground.
Walsh is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Noons has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Walsh off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Noons fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Walsh, pushing him back against the cage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Noons creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Noons breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Noons has managed to clinch.
Noons connects with a nasty looking knee right to Walsh's face.

Noons escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Noons dives in for a single leg takedown but Walsh sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Walsh jumps into guard, dragging Noons to the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Noons decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Walsh, up you get!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Walsh throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Noons's waist but Noons gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Walsh off to one side.
Sherwood Walsh has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
KJ Noons is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Walsh displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Noons.
