Cartwright comes to the cage accompanied by The Irish Fighting Song. Lothbrok is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Am A Viking. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lothbrok misses with a hook. Cartwright ducked under it nicely.
Cartwright misses with a takedown attempt - Lothbrok sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Cartwright staying out of range there.
Cartwright shoots for a double leg takedown but Lothbrok sprawls well. He's pushed Cartwright's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cartwright moves into the clinch successfully.

Cartwright is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Lothbrok gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cavan Cartwright. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Cartwright displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Lothbrok throws out the jab.

Lothbrok swats away the attempt to clinch by Cartwright.

Lothbrok thuds a left hand into Cartwright's body.
Nice straight punches there by Lothbrok. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Lothbrok.
Ragnar Lothbrok is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
That kick from Lothbrok tenderised Cartwright's leg. Cartwright is trying to keep his angry face on.
Lothbrok displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
Lothbrok stuffs the takedown attempt from Cartwright. Cartwright gets slowly back to his feet.
Lothbrok uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Cartwright has time to react.

Cartwright is rocked!
We've been informed that Lothbrok has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lothbrok fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Cartwright. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
Lothbrok connects with a stiff jab that staggers Cartwright - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
