Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Stowall Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Arto Blomsten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jab, jab by Jackson - just one landing.
Arto Blomsten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Blomsten feints and as Jackson raises his hands in defense, Blomsten changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Jackson stalks Blomsten and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Blomsten's face. Blomsten staggers backwards, shaken.
Stowall Jackson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Blomsten closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away.

Blomsten tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Jackson swivels and escapes.
Jackson misses with a wild combination.
Blomsten stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Jackson.
Jackson clobbers Blomsten with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Jackson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Blomsten back to the cage. Jackson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Arto Blomsten has been cut.
Jackson cracks Blomsten with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Blomsten changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jackson tries to avoid it but Blomsten manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jackson to the ground. Jackson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Blomsten shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jackson pinned against the cage. Jackson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Blomsten is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jackson defends it well.

Jackson stuffs the takedown.

Blomsten shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Jackson's guard.

Blomsten drops back looking for a leg! Jackson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Jackson manages to kick Blomsten off! Blomsten jumps back into Jackson's guard.

Jackson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Blomsten moves away.
Jackson displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Blomsten.
Jackson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Blomsten checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Blomsten is working to tighten his grip on Jackson's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jackson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Blomsten is really squeezing tight and eventually Jackson passes out! Blomsten breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
