The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kutowski throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

Pegg drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kutowski pulls his leg out and moves away.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kutowski does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Pegg looks to land a combination but Kutowski avoids it well.

Kutowski bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pegg's guard.
Pegg throws his legs up looking for a submission but Kutowski uses it to pass to side control.

Kutowski is trying to control. Pegg wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Kutowski is looking for a kimura but Pegg is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Kutowski to get the leverage.
Pegg is not content to let Kutowski control the position.

Kutowski wants to advance to full mount but Pegg doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead.
Pegg is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Pegg pulls Kutowski in close to his closed guard and prevents Kutowski from doing any damage or advancing position.

Kutowski content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Pegg has locked up a guillotine! Pegg's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Kutowski is holding on here and Pegg must be using up a lot of energy. Kutowski has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Pegg gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
