Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Randy Sosa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Barry Bonds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randy Sosa has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Randy Sosa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Barry Bonds!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Chris Saunders and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sosa pushes Bonds up against the cage in a clinch.

Sosa drags the fight down to the ground.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Bonds preventing the sweep.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bonds stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sosa swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Sosa seems keen to control Bonds's posture.

Randy Sosa has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Sosa has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Bonds.

Sosa has closed the distance and engaged Bonds in a clinch.
Sosa jumps guard but Bonds turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Sosa jumps guard but Bonds stands there with Sosa around his waist. Sosa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Bonds escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Bonds looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bonds throws a head kick that misses.

Bonds tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Sosa avoids it.
Sosa avoiding damage as Bonds throws knees to the body.
Bonds wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Sosa changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bonds fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Randy Sosa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sosa closes the distance and clinches.
Sosa has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Bonds after a bit of a struggle.
Sosa tries to pull guard but Bonds holds him up against the cage and eventually Sosa drops back down to his feet.
Bonds is trying to push Sosa away but Sosa has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Sosa jumps guard but Bonds stands there with Sosa around his waist. Sosa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Sosa tries to break the clinch but Bonds is controlling the position.
Bonds can't break the clinch.
Bonds lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Sosa backwards.
Bonds is trying to break free.
Sosa fails to pull the fight into his guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bonds is trying to force a seperation but Sosa has the dominant position.
Bonds is trying to break free.
Sosa doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Bonds.
Sosa really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Bonds lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Sosa wants a takedown.
Sosa takes a shot to the head.

Sosa pulls guard effortlessly.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Bonds wants to control from the top but Sosa keeps moving.
Sosa is controlling Bonds's posture.
Bonds wants to stand but Sosa has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Bonds prevents Sosa from getting back to his feet.
Bonds trying to control but Sosa is working from the bottom.
Sosa will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Barry Bonds wasn't active enough on the ground.

Sosa rushes Bonds and presses him up against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sosa has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Bonds regains guard immediately.
Bonds looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sosa is one step ahead there.

Sosa is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Bonds is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bonds might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Sosa haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Sosa has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bonds throws a series of punches but Sosa moves out of range.

Sosa instigates a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Randy Sosa dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Sosa clinches with his opponent.
Bonds lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Bonds tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Sosa's elbow.
Bonds lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.


Sosa is rocked!

Sosa escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oh Sosa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A head kick misses from Bonds.
Bonds pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sosa avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bonds throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bonds throws a left jab followed by a right to the body, Oh Sosa colapses and takes a barrage of punches from Bonds as he moves to mount! the ref stops the fight and Sosa is left battered and dazed whilst Bonds and his camp cheer!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barry Bonds!
After winning the bout, Barry Bonds thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
