The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kierkegaard connects with the punch.

Sackett has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Sackett doesn't manage to clinch there - Kierkegaard circles away.

Kierkegaard throws a lazy right hand but Sackett sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kierkegaard tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sackett was well out of range. Poor timing from Kierkegaard.

Sackett tries to throw a body punch but Kierkegaard avoids it by throwing Sackett back against the cage.

A nice left hand lands by Sackett.
Sackett throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Kierkegaards head.

Kierkegaard wants to break free but Sackett has control.
Oh Kierkegaard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Kierkegaard has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Kierkegaard is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Sackett screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nolan Sackett! Nolan Sackett retains his middleweight title!
