Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Beef Eater (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Charco (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Charco dips to his left and cracks Eater with an uppercut!
Charco takes a jab right on the kisser.
Charco misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Charco throws a head kick that misses.
Charco dives in for a single leg takedown but Eater sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Eater throws an elbow but it misses.

Charco lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Eater or not.

Eater breaks from the clinch.
Charco pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Eater displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Charco throws out the jab.

Charco lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Eater at a distance.
Beef Eater seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Eater moves into the clinch.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Charco tries to break the clinch but Eater is controlling the position.

Eater breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Eater takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Charco wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Eater, who protects the arm well.

Eater tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Charco wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Charco is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Eater knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Charco has hold of Eater's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Eater tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Charco cranks the arm and Eater screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Eater, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
