PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Eyden Pargrathian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Williams (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pargrathian kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Judas Priest- Battle Hymn/ One Shot at Glory. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Ryoma Takatsuka and Paul Gruel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

and Pargrathian counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Pargrathian lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Williams wants to stand but Pargrathian is controlling the position.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pargrathian postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Pargrathian throws an elbow that misses. Williams uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Pargrathian's guard. Nice move by Williams!
Williams is looking to stand up but Pargrathian won't let him.
Pargrathian on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Pargrathian tries to get out of the position.

Williams goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Williams tries to clinch there but Pargrathian circles away.
Pargrathian seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Williams fails to land with a series of punches.
Williams throws a head kick that misses.
Williams tries to clinch up.
Pargrathian keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Williams.
Williams fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Pargrathian looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Williams tries to close the distance and clinch but Pargrathian swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Williams will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Williams throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Pargrathian.
Williams misses with a body shot

and Pargrathian counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Pargrathian has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Pargrathian slips a nice elbow through Williams's hands, connecting with Williams's forehead.
Williams tries to kick Pargrathian off but Pargrathian keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Pargrathian throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Pargrathian is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Pargrathian seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Pargrathian is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Williams doesn't manage to clinch there - Pargrathian circles away.
Williams Rushes Pargrathian and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Pargrathian is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Williams Piles on the pressure and Pargrathian crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:43 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Matt Williams!
