The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rounikki shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Rounikki showed some decent athleticism there.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Jones is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Rounikki pulls his head out easily.
Rounikki tries to pass to full mount but Jones defends it.

Rounikki is working for a submission of some sort.

Jones is trying to maintain the position but Rounikki is very close to passing his half guard.
Jones is not content to let Rounikki control the position.

Rounikki is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jones sees it coming and defends easily.
Jones misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Rounikki wants to pass to mount but Jones is defending the position.

Jones is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Jones is not content to let Rounikki control the position.

Rounikki is looking for a kimura but Jones is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Rounikki to get the leverage.

Rounikki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Jones is just riding it out for now. Rounikki eventually gives up the hold.

Rounikki is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jones doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Rounikki.

Rounikki is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Jones reverses the position - he's now on top in Rounikki's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rounikki has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jones can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Jones drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Jones as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Rounikki screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Jones! Nice submission victory there!
