Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Miles Harunodo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcus Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brandao has chosen The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Miles Harunodo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Marcus Brandao!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brandao ducks under a wild hook from Harunodo.
Miles Harunodo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Harunodo misses with a straight left.
Harunodo jabs Brandao right on the nose. Brandao blinks but takes it well.


It looks like Marcus Brandao has been cut.
We've been informed that Brandao has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Harunodo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Harunodo throws a head kick that misses
and Harunodo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Miles Harunodo has been cut.
Brandao uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Harunodo.

Harunodo tries a head kick but it misses.

Harunodo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Harunodo throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Harunodo throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brandao.

Brandao throws out a powerful jab.
Brandao lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Brandao takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Harunodo misses with a double jab.
Brandao cracks the inside of Harunodo's front leg.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Brandao throws a hook to the side of Harunodo's head but Harunodo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Brandao moves away from the strike by Harunodo.
A slow jab from Harunodo misses its intended target.
Harunodo misses with an uppercut

and as Harunodo resets, Brandao pounces with a savage head kick that drops Harunodo to the mat! Harunodo looks wobbly but gets back to his feet on the count of 5. The referee continues the count to 8 then steps aside to let these two guys get back at it!


Harunodo is rocked!
Brandao throws a lazy head kick
and Harunodo counters with a right hand to the body.
Oh Harunodo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Brandao scores with a shot to the body.

Harunodo lands with a nice body punch.
Brandao misses with a hook. Harunodo ducked under it nicely.
Harunodo seems to have got his legs back now.
A shot to the liver by Brandao. Beautiful body shot.
Brandao lands a lovely overhand right.
Harunodo throws a hook but Brandao blocks it.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Brandao - that will leave a mark!

Brandao checks a leg kick nicely.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Harunodo throws a shot from downtown. Brandao moves away and avoids it.
Harunodo uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Brandao has time to react.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Having scored a knockdown, Marcus Brandao should take round 1, putting pressure on his opponene back strong in round 2.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Harunodo looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
A head kick by Harunodo misses
and Brandao makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Brandao moves out of range of the body kick from Harunodo.
Brandao throws out a loose jab but Harunodo uses good head movement to avoid it.
Harunodo tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Harunodo swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Harunodo throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Brandao avoids the head kick by Harunodo.

Brandao feints and then cracks Harunodo's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Harunodo down.
Harunodo misses the jab.
Harunodo throws a sloppy head kick and Brandao moves out of range easily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Brandao uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Brandao avoids the body shot from Harunodo.
Brandao lunges at Harunodo with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Harunodo's hand.
Brandao misses with a body shot.
Brandao on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Harunodo tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Brandao will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Harunodo throws a hook to the side of Brandao's head but Brandao sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Brandao slips a straight right by Harunodo.

Brandao lands a head kick that bluckles Harunodo and drops him to the canvas. He's still conscious but it looks like it's going to take him the full 10 seconds to get back his senses! He's up on 9 and seems to be just about OK to continue.... the referee agrees and we're back to the action with Brandao no doubt looking to push for a finish!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brandao on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Brandao connects with a quick right hand that sends Harunodo tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Marcus Brandao!
During a confident post fight interview, Marcus Brandao thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
