The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goins connects with a crisp jab.
Sobral throws a looping overhand right but Goins ducks down to avoid it.
Goins keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
No joy there for Sobral, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sobral shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Sobral was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Goins is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Sobral asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Goins's coaches at ~T~ Troid - Gym have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.

Julio Sobral decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
