Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tymo Tymchynovski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Seijuro Akashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tymo Tymchynovski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Seijuro Akashi!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Akashi looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Akashi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Tymchynovski swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Akashi pushing down on Tymchynovski's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Akashi has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Akashi content just to control the position here.

Akashi thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Akashi wants to get back to his feet but Tymchynovski is holding on tight.
Akashi tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Tymchynovski is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Akashi misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Akashi looking to control and managing it successfully.
Tymchynovski takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Akashi looking to ground and pound but Tymchynovski is blocking nicely.
Akashi takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Akashi has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Seijuro Akashi hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Akashi shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Akashi misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Akashi content to stall in guard here.
Akashi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Tymchynovski's guard.
Akashi tries to stand but can't do so whilst Tymchynovski controls his leg.

It looks like Akashi is going to stand back up.
Akashi controlling the action here.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Seijuro Akashi has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
A head kick misses from Akashi.

Akashi shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Tymchynovski defends it nicely.
Seijuro Akashi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Akashi moves into range and clinches up with Tymchynovski.

Akashi pulls guard effortlessly.
Akashi is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Tymchynovski is controlling him.
Tymchynovski wants to pass the guard but Akashi is keeping the position.

Akashi looking for a guillotine here but Tymchynovski defends easily.
Tymchynovski trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Akashi manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Akashi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Akashi would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Akashi slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Seijuro Akashi.

Akashi fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Tymchynovski, pushing him back against the cage.

Akashi ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Akashi no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seijuro Akashi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Tymchynovski avoids the head kick by Akashi.
Tymchynovski seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Akashi dives in and grabs Tymchynovski's left leg, looking for a takedown. Tymchynovski pushes down on Akashi's head and hops out.

Akashi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Tymchynovski!

Akashi wants to stand but Tymchynovski has his arm trapped.
Akashi prevents Tymchynovski from escaping the position.
Akashi wants to stand but Tymchynovski is controlling his arm.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Seijuro Akashi.

Akashi gets a takedown into half guard.

Akashi is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tymchynovski is just riding it out for now. Akashi eventually gives up the hold.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Akashi content to control rather than advance.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Seijuro Akashi was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Tymchynovski tries to sprawl but Akashi drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Akashi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Tymchynovski is pressing down on Akashi's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Akashi controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Akashi drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Akashi jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tymo Tymchynovski has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Akashi is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

And that's the end of the fight!
Seijuro Akashi comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Akashi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
