The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Billington misses with an uppercut. McFinnigan saw that one coming.
Billington looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Billington tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
McFinnigan throws out a loose jab but Billington uses good head movement to avoid it.
Billington takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

Billington ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Billington throws a sloppy body shot
and McFinnigan counters with a good low kick that Billington was not able to check.
McFinnigan ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Billington moves away.
Billington throws an off balance right hand
and McFinnigan counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Billington, right into the meat.
McFinnigan takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Billington misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from McFinnigan.
McFinnigan pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Billington throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent McFinnigan stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Billington tries to bum rush McFinnigan with a series of wild strikes but McFinnigan uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Billington moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

McFinnigan bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
McFinnigan buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Billington clobbers McFinnigan with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

and Billington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Billington fails with a takedown attempt.
Billington is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down McFinnigan rather than just go for the knockout.

That kick from McFinnigan tenderised Billington's leg. Billington is trying to keep his angry face on.

It looks like Thomas Billington has been cut.
