Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Timmy The Gun (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bismarck De Jager (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). De Jager has chosen My Kreet as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Jager waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract The Gun.
De Jager looks to score with a jab to the body but The Gun is just out of range.
De Jager lands a nice shot to the body.

The Gun gets a double leg takedown into De Jager's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

De Jager is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bismarck De Jager hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

De Jager throws a right hand that The Gun ducks under and follows up with a left that The Gun also avoids with ease.
Bismarck De Jager is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
De Jager cracks The Gun with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
De Jager lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
The Gun tries to score a power double leg takedown but De Jager sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten The Gun somewhat.

De Jager throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent The Gun stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

The Gun throws a hook to the side of De Jager's head but De Jager sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

De Jager throws a shot from downtown. The Gun moves away and avoids it.
De Jager throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
The crowd cheers as De Jager lands an impressive looking overhand right. The Gun doesn't seem phased though.

The Gun shoots in looking for a takedown. De Jager tries to sprawl out of it but The Gun keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. De Jager manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
De Jager ducks down and throws a hook to the body but The Gun moves away.
Horrible takedown attempt by The Gun or perhaps it was just good defense by De Jager, which made it look bad.

De Jager lands with a straight right. The Gun didn't see that one coming.

De Jager is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by The Gun.

This has been an exciting period of action!

The Gun throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. De Jager tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. The Gun is in De Jager's guard.
The Gun has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
De Jager lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
The Gun wants to get back to his feet but De Jager is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

The Gun shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. The Gun showed some decent athleticism there.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if De Jager can do anything to dispel that myth.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Timmy The Gun.
I think De Jager has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
