Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Guran Gugeneshvili (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akihiko Yamato (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gugeneshvili closes the distance and lands a one-two.

It looks like Akihiko Yamato has been cut.
Yamato swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gugeneshvili.
Yamato scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Yamato.
Yamato has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Yamato misses with a hook.
Gugeneshvili looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Yamato scores with a push kick.
Yamato fakes the leg kick and cracks Gugeneshvili in the body.
Gugeneshvili is breathing heavily.
Yamato throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Yamato moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
A solid leg kick lands there for Yamato.

Yamato connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Gugeneshvili onto his butt! Gugeneshvili bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.

It looks like Guran Gugeneshvili has been cut.
Yamato closes the distance and catches Gugeneshvili with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Gugeneshvili is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Gugeneshvili is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Gugeneshvili is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Yamato takes it!

A relieved looking Akihiko Yamato thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
