The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaffney throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Junior's waist but Junior gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gaffney off to one side.
Gaffney falls off balance throwing a combination
and Junior counters with a nice low kick that buckles Gaffney's knee momentarily.
Junior throws a right and a left that both miss.
A head kick by Gaffney misses
and Junior counters with a solid body kick.
Gaffney looks winded!
Junior cracks the inside of Gaffney's front leg.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Junior rushes Gaffney and presses him up against the cage.

Junior escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Junior getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Junior lands with a thumping leg kick.
Junior scores with a jab.
Junior is stalking Gaffney. Gaffney circles to his left. Keeps circling left. Bam! Straight right from Junior, and it's lights out! Gaffney really payed the price for that rookie mistake.
