Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Evad Atsituab (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Oliver Gears (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atsituab shoots for a takedown but Gears saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Atsituab drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Gears utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Gears looking to hit a scissor sweep but Atsituab is one step ahead there.
Atsituab has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Atsituab closes the distance and clinches up with Gears, looking for a takedown. Atsituab pushes Gears against the cage but Gears circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Atsituab closes the distance and clinches up with Gears, looking for a takedown. Atsituab pushes Gears against the cage but Gears circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The crowd cheers as Gears lands an impressive looking overhand right. Atsituab doesn't seem phased though.

Gears manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Atsituab manages to get himself to full guard.
Gears wants to control from the top but Atsituab keeps moving.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Oliver Gears has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Atsituab fails with a takedown attempt.
Atsituab shoots in for a takedown but Gears shows good takedown defense.
Oliver Gears is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A big right from Gears misses.
Atsituab changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gears tries to avoid it but Atsituab manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gears to the ground. Gears escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Horrible takedown by Atsituab or perhaps it was just good defense by Gears which made him look bad.
