Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jerome Reilly (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Takeshi Wagasakai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wagasakai has chosen ranbu no melody/Sid as his entrance music. Takeshi Wagasakai will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Takeshi Wagasakai!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Sosuke Kotani and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wagasakai tries for a takedown but Reilly circles away easily

and Reilly counters with a nice double leg into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Reilly throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wagasakai works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Wagasakai is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wagasakai preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Reilly stands and steps away. Wagasakai gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Wagasakai throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Reilly.

It looks like Jerome Reilly has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reilly tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wagasakai paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reilly looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Reilly gets the takedown into side control.
Wagasakai is trying to improve his position.
Wagasakai really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Reilly. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Reilly connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wagasakai some visible discomfort.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Reilly in side control lands a decent elbow.
Reilly working the body and head with strikes.

Reilly is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Wagasakai looks calm but he's in trouble here. Reilly gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Wagasakai is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Reilly lets go of the hold and Wagasakai can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jerome Reilly!
