The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marchand misses with a hook.

Marchand throws a hook but Kiyomasa avoids it easily.

It looks like Kato Kiyomasa has been cut.
Marchand throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Kiyomasa on the side of the head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kiyomasa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Marchand.
Marchand seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

Kato Kiyomasa has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
The crowd cheers as Marchand lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kiyomasa doesn't seem phased though.

Marchand throws a right and a left that Kiyomasa avoids nicely.
Marchand connects with a good right hand that stumbles Kiyomasa. Kiyomasa circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Marchand is pawing at Kiyomasa, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Kiyomasa's nose. Kiyomasa is badly hurt! Marchand pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Kiyomasa tries desperately to hold on but Marchand is relentless in his assault! As Kiyomasa receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Marchand away and this one is in the books!
