The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rad turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

Lion is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

Lion closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Lion lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Lion has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Lion slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Lion looking to sit in guard and control but Rad gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Rad wants to control from the top but Lion keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kyle Rad wasn't active enough on the ground.
Rad connects with a nice looking jab.
Rad looks to land a body kick but Lion moved away.
Lion lands a nice looking body shot.
Rad rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lion moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Lion has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Rad finds it's way round the side to connect with Lion's head.
Lion scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rad lands a big head kick that sends Lion tumbling to the mat! Rad takes a step backwards and waves Lion back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Lion is rocked!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Oh Lion is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Rad counters with a slapping leg kick.
Rad avoids the body shot from Lion.
Lion throws a hook but Rad avoids it easily.
Lion takes a shot right to the bread basket.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kyle Rad dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Rad makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Lion seems to have got his legs back now.
Lion thows a body shot but no joy.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Rad, right into the meat.
Rad avoids the head kick by Lion.
Rad cracks the inside of Lion's front leg.
A big left from Lion misses.
Lion ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Rad moves away.
Rad swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Nice body kick there by Rad.
Rad throws a quick inside leg kick.
Rad feints and then cracks Lion's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Lion down.
Lion throws a hook to the side of Rad's head but Rad sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Rad swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Lion.
Rad connects with a solid leg kick.
Rad scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

Kyle Rad seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Rad punishes Lion's body with a nice straight punch.
Lion misses with a low kick.

Rad drops Lion with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Lion looks back up at him and smiles so Rad waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Rad lands a brutal head kick. Lion looks out on his feet and Rad throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
