Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karol Cropp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 8 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Karol Cropp!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ryan Carter!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A solid body kick from Carter.

Cropp scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Carter dodges the ground and pound from Cropp.
Cropp is staying tight to Carter's torso, preventing him from escaping.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Carter is looking to reverse the position.

Carter managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Cropp.
Carter parries the strikes from Cropp easily there. Cropp is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Carter to escape.
Cropp is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Cropp creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Carter sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Cropp wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Carter, who protects the arm well.
Carter dodges the ground and pound from Cropp.
Cropp remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Cropp goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Carter rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Cropp's guard! Nice work there by Carter!
Carter stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Cropp swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Carter really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cropp. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Cropp pulls Carter in close to his closed guard and prevents Carter from doing any damage or advancing position.
Cropp controls Carter momentarily but Carter frees himself.

Cropp working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Carter doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Carter manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Carter must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Cropp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Carter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Cropp has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Carter has managed to get both his arms back between Cropp's legs - danger averted.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Carter wants to control from the top but Cropp keeps moving.
Carter tries to stand but Cropp is controlling from the bottom.

Cropp has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Carter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Carter tries to stand but Cropp is controlling from the bottom.
Cropp wants to sweep here but Carter controlling him for the moment.

Carter wants to control from the top but Cropp keeps moving.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Ryan Carter wasn't active enough on the ground.
Cropp lands with a shot to the body.
Cropp lands with a hook. Carter tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.


It looks like Ryan Carter has been cut.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Cropp tries to bum rush Carter with a series of wild strikes but Carter uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Carter gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Carter cracks Cropp with a right hand to the side of the head.
Carter throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Carter misses with a looping right.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Cropp throws a right and a left that Carter avoids nicely.

Carter throws a wild body kick that Cropp sees coming a mile off.
Carter chopping away at his opponent's legs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Karol Cropp dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Ryan Carter's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Cropp misses with an uppercut.
A swing and a miss from Cropp.
Carter bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Carter throws a lazy right hand but Cropp sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Carter throws a jab but it's blocked by Cropp.
Cropp uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Carter.
Cropp jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Carter throws an off balance right hand
and Cropp counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Carter throws a poor cross that misses

and Cropp counters with a left hand that sends Carter to the canvas!


Carter is rocked!


That has opened up Ryan Carter's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Cropp with a flurry of punches that miss.
Cropp will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Cropp throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Carter works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Carter has momentary wrist control but Cropp slips an elbow through the middle.

Cropp drops back, looking for a kneebar! Carter looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Carter looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Carter!
I wouldn't like to be where Cropp is right now.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cropp is looking to regain half guard here but Carter keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cropp is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Carter off and has taken his back!
Will Cropp go for the finish here or will he try and keep control of the position?
Cropp gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Can Carter hold on?! Cropp is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.


The cut above Ryan Carter's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Cropp lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Carter hold on?!


Ryan Carter's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Ryan Carter's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Cut). Karol Cropp!
Karol Cropp retains his super heavyweight title!
In his post fight interview, Karol Cropp started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
