Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ervin Burnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karen Nazarian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nazarian closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Nazarian has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Burnett is trying to keep an underhook but Nazarian manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Nazarian is looking for a kimura but Burnett is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nazarian to get the leverage.

Nazarian stands up and beckons Burnett to his feet.

Nazarian has Burnett pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Nazarian pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Burnett tumbling to the mat - Nazarian dives into Burnett's guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Burnett wants to sweep here but Nazarian controlling him for the moment.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Nazarian gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Burnett really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Burnett will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Nazarian pushes Burnett up against the cage in a clinch.

Nazarian manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Nazarian has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Burnett regains guard immediately.

Nazarian is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Karen Nazarian has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Nazarian closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Nazarian lands in his opponent's guard.

Nazarian is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Burnett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Karen Nazarian.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Nazarian lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Burnett has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Burnett and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Nazarian shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Burnett napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Nazarian is trying to control the action in half guard but Burnett is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Karen Nazarian showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Burnett keeps control of Nazarian as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Burnett wants to stand but Nazarian is controlling his posture from full guard.

Burnett postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Nazarian is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Burnett, into his guard.

Nazarian controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Burnett looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Burnett can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Nazarian controls the pace.

Burnett throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Burnett wants to hit a switch here but Nazarian passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Burnett there!

Nazarian is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Burnett can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Burnett wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
I really don't envy Burnett right now.
Nazarian throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Nazarian is looking for the choke from the back position but Burnett is controlling his hands well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Nazarian looking to finish the fight with a rear naked choke. Burnett is controlling Nazarian 's left arm and he spins nicely into guard.

The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Burnett has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nazarian is proving hard to escape from.

Karen Nazarian comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Nazarian has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
