Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Keimah Animai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Plo Koon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Animai comes into the arena with Beat It blaring out of the sound system. Plo Koon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice uppercut there from Koon.
Koon moves away from the strike by Animai.
Animai fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Koon on the side of the head.

and Koon counters with a shoot takedown. Animai fights it but they end up in guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Koon got a little sloppy there for a moment and Animai has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Koon has managed to get both his arms back between Animai's legs - danger averted.

Koon wants to lay and pray for a moment but Animai keeps working.
Animai is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Koon seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Animai does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Plo Koon wasn't active enough on the ground.

Koon ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Animai moves away.

and Koon counters with a single leg into guard. Animai didn't expect that.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Koon lands a nice short elbow.

Animai working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Koon doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Koon manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Animai is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Koon defends well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Animai's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A nice inside leg kick there by Koon. That's going to slow Animai down.
Animai smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Animai connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Koon to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Animai!
